Have you decided?

As the day of elections is getting nearer, how many of us has decided to whom their vote will go?
Now is the time to start short listing, and refer to what each candidate has to offer, policies, background, leadership qualities etc.......

The recent Q.A Session held by think nation has played with the minds of many, in favour of whom time will tell.

While a leader with all obvious qualities of a leader may fail, that in no way means we should go for a leader with out any such qualities..and after reading the thoughts of writers, after knowing what great minds of this country think, the decision becomes very confusing.Unlike in America where they have got to choose between only two, we have to think a lot harder before we reach our decision....

However much confusing this is, it is a decision we have to make, and to begin with lets start shortlisting......

Roadhamas and E Hadhaan

What's the connection between E Hadhaan a musical show and the holy month of Ramazan?

Ramazan is not a festival......and what is their to be reminded of old or new songs during Ramazan.....It would have made more sense that if it comes during Eid..but no...

I think the hadhaan that need to be thought of during Ramazan is not these songs as if trying to convey Ramazan is a festival.

What's the connection between a bunch of songs and Ramazan know as E Hadhaan, Mi Hadhaan and thiya Hadhaan?

What is your resolution for the month of Ramazan?

Making a plan or making a resolution for the holy month of Ramazan is one way of trying to make the most of Ramazan..Your resolution or plan could range from letting go of a grudge against some one , in trying to make your prayers more regular and consistent, in trying to pray the sunnah prayers, giving charity, stop negative feelings such as jealousy, envy, backbiting, etc etc……. What is your resolution for the month of Ramazan..? and so far how is it going?

Imagine Your Death!

Imagine yourself after you pass away
Imagine your grave through night and through day
Wishing that you did not do as they say
Wishing that you had got up and had prayed.

Imagine, my friends, the day that you died
Imagine all of the tears that they cried
Remember how it felt when your body was tied
Remember how it felt in the grave which you lied.

Imagine the day you'll be called to account
Imagine the sum to which your life will amount
Think for a moment of the deeds which you mount
Think for a moment how much they will count.

What will they say of you when you are dead?
What will they say, what will be said?
Will they speak of all the poor who you fed?
Will they remember all the Qu'ran that you read?

Think not of them, but of Allah, Lord of mankind and jinn
Think of Allah when tempted to sin
Think of the paradise which you will dwell in
Don't wait till later to think what might have been.

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL, "who is the fairest of them all?"

Who performed best in last night’s Q.A Session?

This question is being asked among many Maldivians today….Some people are happy with the way the candidate they support performed and some are disappointed with the way their supporting candidates performed….

In my opinion a word of appreciation should go to the organizing team of this session. It was systematic and organized and it went quite well..

As for who should my vote go for, I haven’t yet figured out yet...But last nights debate made me realize who not to vote for……..

About 2 hours before the beginning of the Q.A session on Siyaasee Fendaa DRP members tried to tell that Maumoon is coming on the same stage with other presidential candidates despite the fact all of them are inferior to Maumoon and they tried to tell that no one can out do his confidence, his talking capability etc. Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom is a man of intelligence, a man of capability, a man of confidence, he has got leadership quality...He is a religious scholar….We all know that and accept it...And thank him for what little or what big he did to this country during past 30 years…..

But the country is in need of a change..Lots and lots of change. Hence many Maldivians are keen to see another president in Maldives before their life ends...Maldivians are excited to see a new change…..not because Maumoon lacks anything...Its about Maldivians wanting a change , a better change….better wisdom, better insight, a leader who can unite the nation, a leader who can guide the nation…..

Hassan Saeed after watching last nights debate, I would say he presented himself very nicely.

And Ibra too radiated confidence, courage…….

Hassan Saeed and Ibras performance were great………and if we could see more of such sessions, it will be easy for us locals to reach a decision..Visnaashey Gaum, hope to see the next session soooon.
