As we celebrate.

There are those, who are crying in secret.

There are those who are humiliated.

There are those who are really happy about the outcome.

There are those who pretend that things turned out as they wanted.

There are those who still oppose.

There are those who wants to take revenge.

But now this is the time to unite.

There are those who have started pointing fingers to the new elected president at this early stage as well.Trying to find fault before things have got started.

This achievement is something we have to be thankful to Almighty Allah in the first place. This has happened with combined effort of many.Mohamed Nasheedh Anni, when one looks at all he has gone through, it is very obvious he deserves to be where he is today. And there are those who have played a huge role in achieving where we are. Those who are at front level of MDP Ithihaadh, those who gave good speeches, writers, and many more. There is the famous website which published cartoons, used abusive language, etc. We cant deny this website too made a huge differemce, but I think all such things should be left behind. And we should start afresh and writers too should opt for constructive crticism where articles are based on facts, and which present both sides etc.

As a citizen, we all have responsibilities at our level.Voting can be said as one such responsibility. There are many such.

This is a new chapter. And all should try to create an atmosphere of unity rather than sow seeds of hatred.Let things begin and then letcriticism come, but let it come constructively which will benefit all.

Who is the best?

All the euphoria of past weeks, months, is about to end.

As with shows like, Indian Idol and American Idol, its in hands of public to choose.

What we see in our atmosphere is more like trying to choose an idol, rather than trying to find who to be the leader of this country. What should be kept in mind is the most popular need not be the most efficient among all. There are other things to be looked upon rather than popularity.Things that need to be looked upon are things such as, integrity, capability, sincerity etc.Education, experience, these are added bonus points, But everything does not end there. We need something more, mostly a leader of Integrity is what this country needs right now.We need someone who is a model himself and who abides by efficient principles and values, and who inspire others to be of such.We need a leader who can unite the nation .We need a leader who prioritize our religon first be it through Islamic scholars, or be it through other leaders.

No doubt we have all heard about the dirty side of all candidates.Regardless of this we have to make a choice, we cant say there is no one who is right and avoid our duty.Lets forget about the dirty side of all, and look at good in all and weigh it and then decide.

And I hope this time the best wins, and our country sees good change. And I hope we all make a wise decision, and I hope the out come is fair and real, and I hope its the best that is to our religion, nation, youth, children, and all Maldivians.

Have you decided?

As the day of elections is getting nearer, how many of us has decided to whom their vote will go?
Now is the time to start short listing, and refer to what each candidate has to offer, policies, background, leadership qualities etc.......

The recent Q.A Session held by think nation has played with the minds of many, in favour of whom time will tell.

While a leader with all obvious qualities of a leader may fail, that in no way means we should go for a leader with out any such qualities..and after reading the thoughts of writers, after knowing what great minds of this country think, the decision becomes very confusing.Unlike in America where they have got to choose between only two, we have to think a lot harder before we reach our decision....

However much confusing this is, it is a decision we have to make, and to begin with lets start shortlisting......

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL, "who is the fairest of them all?"

Who performed best in last night’s Q.A Session?

This question is being asked among many Maldivians today….Some people are happy with the way the candidate they support performed and some are disappointed with the way their supporting candidates performed….

In my opinion a word of appreciation should go to the organizing team of this session. It was systematic and organized and it went quite well..

As for who should my vote go for, I haven’t yet figured out yet...But last nights debate made me realize who not to vote for……..

About 2 hours before the beginning of the Q.A session on Siyaasee Fendaa DRP members tried to tell that Maumoon is coming on the same stage with other presidential candidates despite the fact all of them are inferior to Maumoon and they tried to tell that no one can out do his confidence, his talking capability etc. Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom is a man of intelligence, a man of capability, a man of confidence, he has got leadership quality...He is a religious scholar….We all know that and accept it...And thank him for what little or what big he did to this country during past 30 years…..

But the country is in need of a change..Lots and lots of change. Hence many Maldivians are keen to see another president in Maldives before their life ends...Maldivians are excited to see a new change…..not because Maumoon lacks anything...Its about Maldivians wanting a change , a better change….better wisdom, better insight, a leader who can unite the nation, a leader who can guide the nation…..

Hassan Saeed after watching last nights debate, I would say he presented himself very nicely.

And Ibra too radiated confidence, courage…….

Hassan Saeed and Ibras performance were great………and if we could see more of such sessions, it will be easy for us locals to reach a decision..Visnaashey Gaum, hope to see the next session soooon.
